1. Overview
This Cancellation Policy applies to services, project bookings, support plans, hosting/maintenance arrangements, and payments made to 17Bytes. By confirming a project, subscribing to a service, or making a payment, you agree to this Cancellation Policy.
2. Cancellation Before Payment
You may cancel an enquiry, proposal discussion, quotation request, or unpaid project request at any time before making payment. No cancellation fee applies before payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Cancellation After Payment but Before Work Starts
If you cancel after payment but before 17Bytes has started any work, planning, consultation, setup, design, development, deployment, or third-party purchase, you may be eligible for a refund as per our Refund Policy.
4. Cancellation After Work Has Started
Once work has started, cancellation requests will be reviewed based on the work completed, time spent, resources allocated, third-party costs incurred, and project stage. 17Bytes may deduct charges for completed or partially completed work before considering any partial refund.
5. Custom Project Cancellation
For custom website, application, design, automation, deployment, or consulting projects, cancellation after project initiation may not qualify for a full refund. Completed milestones, approved deliverables, project planning, consultation, research, design drafts, development work, and deployment work may be chargeable.
6. Hosting, Maintenance, and Subscription Cancellation
For recurring hosting, maintenance, support, or subscription services, you should request cancellation at least 7 calendar days before the next billing or renewal date. If cancellation is requested after renewal, the renewal amount may be non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Domain Names and Third-Party Services
Domain registrations, renewals, hosting purchases, software licenses, premium plugins, templates, subscriptions, APIs, and other third-party services are usually non-cancellable and non-refundable once purchased, activated, or registered.
8. “Support Us” Payment Cancellation
Voluntary “Support Us” contributions cannot usually be cancelled after successful payment. However, if there was a duplicate payment, wrong amount, unauthorized transaction, or technical error, please contact us immediately at contact@17bytes.com.
9. Cancellation by 17Bytes
17Bytes may cancel or suspend services if:
- Payment is not received on time
- Required project information, content, access, or approvals are not provided
- The requested work is illegal, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or violates third-party rights
- The client misuses services, infrastructure, payment systems, or communication channels
- Continuation of service would violate applicable law, payment gateway rules, bank rules, or platform policies
10. How to Request Cancellation
To request cancellation, email us at contact@17bytes.com with:
- Your full name
- Registered email address and phone number
- Project name, invoice number, order ID, or payment reference
- Reason for cancellation
- Any relevant supporting details
11. Review and Confirmation
After receiving your cancellation request, we will review the project/payment status and respond with the applicable cancellation outcome. Any approved refund will be handled according to our Refund Policy.
